01 / HI, I’M RENATO.

Curious by
nature.
Nerd by
choice.

I build bridges between technology and people. From code to leadership — and from questions to possibilities.

Computer vision, remote sensing and machine learning are part of my story. So are music, diversity and curiosity.

02 / LEADERSHIP

Lead.
Connect.
Scale.

I lead people and platforms that bring machine learning and AI into production.

I connect science, engineering, data and product teams to turn models and proofs of concept into cloud-based solutions, integrated with products and ready to operate at scale.

My work brings together technical strategy, roadmaps, priorities and alignment across teams. The focus is creating the conditions for teams to build and evolve reliable, observable solutions that people adopt — connecting scientific depth to the needs of those who use them.

03 / DIVERSITY & BELONGING

Room to be
your whole self.

Vulnerability is part of leadership, too.

Sharing vulnerability with the people I lead is part of building trust. Diversity, listening and room to be ourselves are part of how I think about leadership.

04 / BEYOND THE JOB TITLE

One mind.
Many worlds.

The most interesting ideas often emerge from connections.

I’ve been singing since I was nine, and I enjoy playing the drums. Music is part of who I am, alongside the joy of coding, investigating and learning new things.

CODE / BUILD

Understanding by doing.

Coding is a way of thinking: breaking down a problem, trying an idea and turning a hypothesis into something that works.

05 / UNDER THE HOOD

A leader.
An engineer
at heart.

I like understanding how things work. I like making them work even more.

My work spans computer vision, geometry, geospatial data and software engineering. Today, leadership also means connecting that technical foundation to science, products and the people who will use them.

[ CV ]

From pixels to the real world.

At Protector, I contributed as a technical leader to a challenge combining on-device ML with the transformation of image coordinates into real-world measurements. Camera calibration, projective geometry and geodesy came together in a product solution.

06 / IDEAS IN MOTION

From questions
to practice.

A few chapters from my work.
The problem, my contribution
and what we built together.

01
COMPUTER VISION / PROTECTOR

Interpreting images.
Measuring the world.

The challenge

Connecting image-based counting and distance estimation on a mobile device, under real-world capture conditions.

My contribution

Management and hands-on technical leadership, connecting on-device ML to camera calibration, projective geometry and coordinate transformations.

The team effort

The team brought the feature into Protector. An example of science, engineering and product integration working together.

02
ENGINEERING / STRIDER · SYNGENTA DIGITAL

A foundation
for growth.

The challenge

Preparing a digital product for global expansion while addressing limitations in architecture, quality and domain modeling.

My contribution

I led the architectural assessment and the change in direction for rebuilding Protector, alongside leading and developing the engineering organization.

The team effort

The team restructured the product around a microservices architecture, with mobile and web applications.

03
SCIENCE + PLATFORMS

Science that reaches
the product.

The challenge

Connecting scientific models, geospatial data and digital capabilities to the products that need them.

My contribution

Leadership, alignment across teams, integration decisions and ways of working that bring science, engineering and product closer together.

The team effort

Platforms and integrations are built by science, engineering, data and product teams. My focus is helping those pieces connect.
